I’ve been shopping for a better digital camera since my 2mp camera is way outdated. This is a lot harder than I thought. The funny thing is cameras on cell phones are now better than my camera that makes no phone calls much less surfs the web. So there are cameras that are uber expensive and great cameras you can get for under $100.

What you want depends on what you want to do and how picky you are about your photo quality. Its very possible that you want to be a semi professional in which case you will need the higher end cameras. However, if you are like me and want to take your grandson to the zoo occasionally then you can probably just go for the cheap yet very effective $100 model.
